Evee was practically tripping over her heels as she was dragged out. She had no idea that Anna had this kind of strength. She was barely able to keep up, once they had gotten out of the gym. Evee took a breather and looked at Anna, She looked absolutely furious.
She stayed quiet as Anna was sending harsh words right through her heart. Had Eventide overreacted? Maybe yes a little, But she couldn't help it. Men she couldn't stand men. Somehow this reminded her of when she got thrown out of her previous home. The way the woman had yelled at her. But this was different, This was Anna, She had never seen Anna get mad. Her heart was aching.
She could feel sadness welling up in her chest. Even Anna's tender touches after she had calmed down didn't stop it. Her eyes went blank and she stared at the ground. When Anna went to loop their arms she stepped away. "I'm tired." She said quietly. "I'm gonna go lay down." She turned on her heel and began to walk away quickly. She didn't actually know where she was going she just let her feet go. Looking up finally she discovered she was outside somewhere behind the building.
She stared up at the moon, And recalled the boy who'd she'd gotten in a fight with's remark. At least i still have my ears. It rang in her ears. She recalled all the times she'd been told that. How many times she'd been called a whore. How many times people stared at her with disgust. If only they'd known, If only they knew how'd they'd been lost. Eventide had given up trying to explain. She collapsed to her knees, and for the first time and what seemed like years. She cried.

Anna could be capable of strength when she wanted to, especially when it came to her fighter. Anna just preferred not to, because she new that Evee would eventually resent her for it if Anna was nothing but brutal. It wasn't always just her, though; sometimes the Ageless part of her kicked in and at this point in time, that was what had happened. Although Anna was aware of her much she had hurt Eventide, it was only through their Ageless bond. Anna could not see it on her face until the last instant. She could see the young woman's blank look on her face, the way she was unresponsive to her compliments, which were more than genuine. Evee, had she been able to calm down, looked stunning. But then, her fierce personality had taken over and Anna was unable to stop herself. This was her fighter, hers to command -- and, if necessary, to protect. She sighed softly, reaching out for the young woman even when she did walk away. Anna bit her lip, realizing that she had done something very wrong. Anna could feel it resonating through Ageless, their bond. It struck a chord deep within Anna, and she suddenly regretted having agreed to go to the school party.
She was a personable young woman, Anna was. If she wanted to be, Anna could charm anyone, get on the good side of most people -- except people like Dorian. So, probably, normal people. She sighed softly, her eyes watching her fighter leave the school, stunned to see Evee walk out on her like that. Anna walked slowly at first, her heels clacking on the tile floors as she passed the doors. She stopped, looking something like a deer in the headlights. Whipping out her phone as she turned to follow Evee, Anna's fingers flew across the touchscreen, working on sending a text to Alex to apologize. Sorry. Evee needs some help. May or may not be back. </3 And then she was running after Evee, her heels not helping her as she pursued her fighter. It was easy to find the other part of her soul. The bond that they had allowed the police woman to find the pumpkin, sitting by the back of the cafeteria building. Anna paused, breathless for just a moment.
The moonlight was beautiful, and yet, the scene was terribly sad. Removing her shoes, Anna carried them in one hand, walking over to Evee. She had never seen her tough mighty fighter cry. Her protector and defender was sobbing on the grass all alone. Gently, Anna touched her shoulder, sitting down beside the slightly taller Evee. She stroked her hair, drawing Eventide close, sending reassuring and comforting thoughts her way. "There, there, it's alright," Anna whispered to her. She pulled her close for a hug, all of her actions gentle and loving, slow, lest she scare Evee off. It had taken this much for Anna to realize just how utterly alone the fighter unit had felt. "Talk to me, Eventide," she said quietly. It was a command, but a very gentle one. Cupping her cheeks with her hands, Anna slowly brushed away the woman's tears. "You're too pretty to cry." There was a small smile on her lips. The brunette hugged her blonde, always there for her little broken fighter. She wondered if Evee had ever really talked to someone, a heart to heart. "I didn't mean to scold you so harshly. But you need to lay off. Next time, ask me first, and I'll let you know. I won't yell at you like that again."

Evee sat there cryinf for a long while. She heard foot steps approach, She could feel Anna here. But her crying didn't let up. She felt an arm wrap around her and soft words being spoken to her. Closing her eyes when Anna cupped her cheeks, she didn't want to look just yet.
Talk to me, Eventide" She sobbed and opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out. She just shook her head instead. "Your to pretty to cry." This time she found her voice. "Whore's aren't pretty." She mumbled out as she was pulled into a hug. "I didn't mean to scold you so harshly. But you need to lay off. Next time, ask me first, and I'll let you know. I won't yell at you like that again." Se sobbed and began to cry more. Hating showing such weakness in front of Anna.
"You don't understand." She managed to get out between sobs. "You don't understand how much i HATE men!" She said her voice getting more frantic. "Men have ruined me my life! I'm a whore for what i've done!" She pulled away from Anna again and began repeating whore to herself as she rocked back and forth.

(( ooc : I apologize for double posting.. but I'mma do it anyway ~ ))
Apparently there was more work for her than Anna had originally thought. Of all places for a blow up to happen, it would have been at a dance. But this was her fighter, and Anna wouldn't have it any other way. The people who looked and stared knew nothing of the suffering she felt oozing off of Evee. She didn't see this as a weakness; everyone here made mistakes and everyone was human. She lightly kissed the top of Evee's head even as she held it. It shocked the sacrifice to see her fighter pull away from her, something that the young woman just didn't understand. "Evee." And as Evee began to cry harder, Anna grabbed her wrists, pulling them away from the woman's curled up form. "Evee," she breathed, looking her fighter in the eyes.
"I want you to listen to me. That is an order you cannot disobey. Do you understand me?" Her voice was gentle but firm. She kissed the woman's forehead, bringing her closer. For all that her fighter was, weak was not the word Anna would have chosen. "You are not a whore. You are not weak. You have made some choices that you regret, nothing more. No one but me has the right to judge you. You are not a whore, Eventide. You are a beautiful young woman who is stronger that she thinks she is. You are nobody's whore. You lost your ears, so what? That doesn't have to matter to anyone but you and I." Her words were spoken soft but with reassurance. Anna was still holding Evee's wrists, for fear that she would flee again. Her tail curled up and brushed the small of the fighter's back, gentle and caring.
"You are to calm yourself down. I want you to trust me. You are my fighter, and I will always care for you. You have nothing to worry about. You are above all of these people who call you a whore for losing your ears. You do not have to explain your past choices to me, Evee. You are above all the other fighters because you are mine." She finally let go of one of her wrists, her fingers gently brushing away the tears and the marks down Evee's beautifully soft cheeks, like a glass doll. "You are no whore. If I hear you call yourself one again, we are going to have a more serious talk." There was a warning in her voice, soft and barely detectable, but nonetheless still very much there. Anna would punish her fighter if she had to. Evee was not to blame for anything that had happened to her. If these people were right in calling her fighter a whore, that Evee had lost her ears, they were still wrong to Anna. Only she could judge her fighter, because the part in her that was very much so Ageless had deemed it right. "I hate to see you in so much pain, sweet."

Conner took multiple deep breaths as he stood stock still after Anna had left. The territorial behavior, his buttons being push, and the additives in his blood... Well, his heartbeat had accelerated and his blood pressure skyrocketed. He turned to the nurse, his face extra flushed with the amount of blood in his circulatory system right now. He scratched his ears a bit, his tail twitching behind him uncomfortably. Of course he liked compliments, but the urge he had to smirk and flirt back certainly put him off balance. Instead, he just offered a crooked, cocky grin. "Nurse, I'm glad you like what you see. It's nice when my hard work is appreciated."
The fighter still felt his heart failing to slow down. Something warm and sticky, something all too familiar was creeping over his skin, soaking slowly through the jersey gray beater. He looked down, and saw the expected scarlet seeping through his shirt, right under his right pectoral muscle. The same sensation seemed to match on his back, but he could not see. The knife wounds were obviously only a day or to old since they were so easily reaggrivated. Not conscious or caring about those nearest him, he lifted off the shirt, using to then press against the recently uncovered wound.
But it was not the blood, or the perfect chiseled look his body had that was most likely to cause a shock to others. It was the scars. How viciously some had been carved into his flesh, how twisted it had healed. His back held the marks from at least one hundred strikes of the whip. Along with the exit scar of a bullet. Cigar burns on his collar bone, a brand from a hot iron... This man could take a beating. Conner had lived through more pain than most his age, and he had experienced every bit of it. He felt the pain, but no longer seemed capable of reacting to it. The freshly opened wound stung, but he just didn't want to lose more blood and make a mess. "I believe I will go change. I shall be right back."
How casual his tone, as if he had spilled something on himself. He didn't even notice he'd passed close by the girl on the walk back to his room, few stray crimson drops leaving a bread crumb trail.

He didn't miss it this time, the gaze that followed Anna out the door. For a brief moment he could sense the animosity raging in Dorian, and he was unnerved. Of all the emotions his Sacrifice had sent his way, nothing compared to what he had felt in that single moment, but it was gone as quickly as it had come. Alex was not as atuned to Dorian as others were to their partners, mostly because he wasn't sure how a typical companionship went, let alone a soul binding partnership. He was not, however, completely severed, and the momentary glimpse into Dorians emotions brought a strange feeling over Alex. Was he...pleased? No, that seamed to ignorant to settle on, but there was no denying the skip of his heart. Did this boy really care about him? Or was he just jealous that his servant had an admirer? That single thought brought a world of disapointment down on Alex. A part of him knew this couldn't be the total truth, that he was purposefully trying to make himself unhappy, but when you've never been cared for before, it was damn hard to beleive that things were going to change.
”Don’t… Don’t do that,” Oh, was that an order? Defiance sparked in Alex, who promptly traced along the tatoos once more with his tail, eye narrowed as he challenged the femininly dressed boy clinging to his arm.
”Now, don’t you look nice. Hehehe.” Golden eyes widened softly as he realized Dorian was addressing the boy; Conner. Unease swept through him at the thought of him flirting it up with his Sacrifice like he had been with Anna clouded his mind, but Conner was most definitely straight, right? And Dorian wouldn't even if he wasn't, would he? He'd been about to say something when his cell suddenly went off, the tune to Marianas Trenchs' 'Cross My Heart' just barely audible over the Dances own music. "Oh- sorry, just a sec." he mumbled before freeing his arm from Dorian to reach into his pocket. Sliding it open he saw that it was a text and opened the message. It was from Anna. "Anna might not be coming back." he announced, mostly to Conner who had been left just as confused as he. Eventide was no doubt the cause, but Alex was content to let it go- though the party would have been better if there was more than just one person he knew there. Still, he would try and enjoy it- for Dorians sake.
When his eyes came back up from putting his phone away, Conners shirtless form was what he was met with. For a moment his eyes softened when they seen the scars, for he was reminded of himself. All the years his father had spent ruining his life were reflected on his body in scars- the visible ones not quite as bad as Conners, but the mental ones were close in comparison.
As Conner took his leave to change, Alex attention turned to Dorian."So, just out of curiosity- what girl were you going to ask to dance with you in that outfit?" a crooked grin took his features at that point. It still hadn't completely clicked that Dorian was more into the same sex than the opposite- he had thought the closeness of that night in his room had simply been because of their status with one another.

He was fairly certain that he’d told his fighter not to do exactly that. But it was hard to look angry when his face was a deep shade of pink, and his eyes were hazy. Glancing up at Alex with eyebrows furrowed and a flustered frown curving his lips, he opened his mouth as if to vocalize his distaste. But no sound came out, and he simply pursed his lips, averting his eyes before simply hiding his face against the other’s shoulder. Quite obviously, he was embarrassed. Pouting silently, save for one or two incoherent grumbles, with his already fluffy tail bristling and his ears pressed flattened against his head. His fighter was being bratty. So mea~n! He’d be sure to repay the favor, sooner or later.
At least it was easier to think when he’d been disentangled from his fighter, and the contact was broken. Exhaling slowly and dragging a hand through his ponytail, he shifted his fickle attention back to the other boy. That was an interesting look in his eyes… How curious. And then suddenly blood. Blood, and scars, and mess, mess, mess. Rather than be repulsed or overcome with the pity that would devour most people alive in such situations, he was simply curious. Not about how they’d gotten there, no. That wasn’t any of his business. Rather, he sort of wanted to know what they felt like. Wanted to touch. But he kept his hands to himself, perhaps wisely so. Just for now. ”Hurry back, but don’t bleed out.” It wasn’t coldly so, but there was no mistaking the odd disinterest in his tone. As if this were a perfectly normal occurrence. It wasn’t, obviously, but why make a big deal out of things that didn’t concern him? That would just be a waste of energy.
His focus was snapped quite sharply back to his fighter, when he heard him speak. Hm? That who it had been, then? Tch. He had the sudden urge to snap that phone in half. But that wouldn’t be received very well, now would it? Still, he disapproving expression on his face did a good job of voicing his unspoken ‘I don’t fucking care’. Until he realized how obvious he was being in regards to his distaste. The lazy smile that quickly replaced his scowl seemed a little forced, but he didn’t seem all too aware of that. Instead, he tilted his face away to survey the rest of the crowd, humming nonchalantly to himself. ”Mh?” He wasn’t paying attention, of course not. Purposely trying to act as if he’d been ignoring him, he huffed like a pouting child. He was allowed to be greedy with him, anyways. It was his own fault for… Well he’d done something, probably. It didn’t matter.
He only peaked back at him again when he heard his fighter address him. Oh, was Alex talking to him now? Tch. ”Pfft. If I’m dressed like this, I’m not looking for attention from any girls, obviously,” he scoffed, rolling his eyes like the brat he was being. Crossing his arms and tossing the ringlet of his ponytail back over his shoulder, he turned back to face his fighter. He was fussing too much over petty things, but he couldn’t help it. He had an awful temper by nature, and it wasn’t as if it took a lot to set him off, despite what he liked to think of himself. ”Besides, I only wore this ‘cause I thought you might like it, mh? Silly me.”

Evee gasped softly as her sacrifice took her wrists and looked her straight in the eye. "Evee" She heard her sacrifice breath out, it calmed her down somewhat. "I want you to listen to me. That is an order you cannot disobey. Do you understand me?" She nodded slightly and stared up at Anna with teary eyes.
She gasped softly again as her sacrifice pressed a kiss to her forehead and brought her closer. "You are not a whore. You are not weak. You have made some choices that you regret, nothing more. No one but me has the right to judge you. You are not a whore, Eventide. You are a beautiful young woman who is stronger that she thinks she is. You are nobody's whore. You lost your ears, so what? That doesn't have to matter to anyone but you and I." She blinked as the tears slowly came to a stop, she took in each one of her partners words. Jumping a bit as Anna's tail came and brushed her back softly, but then relaxing into it.
"You are to calm yourself down. I want you to trust me. You are my fighter, and I will always care for you. You have nothing to worry about. You are above all of these people who call you a whore for losing your ears. You do not have to explain your past choices to me, Evee. You are above all the other fighters because you are mine." She nodded slowly obeying her sacrifice, she took a few deep breaths. Eyes fluttering closed as Anna wiped away a few stray tears. Her words swam around in her head finding meaning and truth in each.
"You are no whore. If I hear you call yourself one again, we are going to have a more serious talk." She finally heard Anna say. Her eyes fluttered open again and she smiled softly. "As long as i have you i won't..." She said in a soft voice. "I hate to see you in so much pain, sweet." she smiled a bit more and took another deep breath. "That's cause i box it all in." She whispered.

There was a profound sense of relief that came from Anna upon seeing Evee submit. It was something that she usually did not like to do-- or did she? Anna had never ordered her fighter around, and instead had chosen to merely speak with her as another person. To see someone so wild as Evee obeying her made Anna feel at piece. The part of her that was Ageless was relieved to see Evee calming down. She had no choice but to obey, but the sacrifice had made it most certainly clear. There was a sense of pride that welled up inside of her for Evee. She had admitted her own faults, had confessed them to her sacrifice without Anna literally having to pull them from her.
"I would much rather you vent it through some physical means than bottling it all inside. These outbursts aren't good, Evee. We'll have to work on that." Gently, Anna removed herself from the young woman, brushing back her light colored hair from her eyes and removing any traces of tears that were left on Evee's cheeks. "We are going to go back to the dance, and I want you to enjoy yourself. Afterwards, you can come over to my dorm and we can just hang out. Alright?" Anna hugged the young woman tightly to her, her tail curling around the fighter unit as well. Then she released her, sighing softly. "You look wonderful. Let's go, come on--"
But Anna cut herself off, her voice stopping as she picked up on footsteps, the sound a bit familiar. Her ears flicked toward the sound, her body turning to see Conner's figure. But something was definitely off about the young man. Anna stood, her tail swishing behind her, a bit lower held than usual. Her hand left Evee's to fall at her side. She walked toward him, her ears pricked. "Lumberjack, where do you think you're going? I still haven't gotten all of your information down.." But again, Anna watched him, brushing her hair away from her face. Another few steps toward him as she called to Conner, though her shoe happened to step in something small and sticky. What was it? Anna looked down, touching the substance from the bottom of her high heeled shoe. Blood. He was bleeding. Anna walked, calling to Evee. "Go back to the dance, I'll see you in a few." Following the little trail of crimson droplets, as well as the figure that grew ever closer to Anna, the sacrifice pursed her lips as she fell into stride beside him. 'You look like you need help."
