The Academy, a small private school located in the country-side of Pennsylvania can be found near the small town of Ashporte. The Academy specializes in the training of Sacrifices and Fighters. Very little is known about The Academy by the mundane people of the world. Instead, all they know is that it's very prestigious, and occassionally offers scholarships to the most unlikely of students.
What they don't know is that fifty percent of the students on campus have the ability to cast spells, and that the other fifty percent own the spell casters, or that these students are permanently connected by their 'true name'. All students offered a scholarship are merely those they wish to train yet are too poor to be able to get in on their own.

In this thread, you will learn about The Academy along with it's protocols and the general norms to the school in order to introduce yourself better to the roleplay before starting.

The Academy, besides the fact that it specializes in the training of Fighters and Sacrifices, is a generally normal school. Grades are expected to be kept up, teachers vary in ability and personality, and the students vary from entirely unruly to completely submissive.
-----
The students have three academic classes a day in 'block schedules'(or two periods shoved together), a lunch, an 'activity' or rest period, and their 'specialty'(either Fighter or Sacrifice based classes). The three academic classes and activity change every semester. The specialty never changes.
In the game, you are not required to roleplay in any of your classes. You may mention them in your posts though if you desire, or make a thread in said class to see who joins in. 'Homework' is not officially assigned in the game, and instead, may be decided in threads by the players if they so decide to use it in a thread.
The classes are as follows:
Math
Algebra 1 Algebra 2 Geometry Elementary Functions AP Calculus AP Statistics
English
English 1 English 2 English 3 English 4
Science
Biology 1 Biology 2 Chemistry Environmental Science Physical Science AP Physics
History
Geography Civics World History 1 World History 2 AP U.S. History AP Government
Secondary Languages
Spanish French German Russian Italian
Physical Education
Gym Health 1 Health 2
Activities
Art Jewelry Making Pottery Movie Club Drama Club Bike Club Walking Club Sports Club Chess Club Diversity Club Gay Straight Alliance
-----
Every weekend, both Saturday and Sunday, students who have good grades and haven't been causing too much trouble are allowed to board the shuttle to Ashporte. Shuttles there run once every hour from 10 am until 8 pm.
