Name: Valentin Frei Age: Fourteen years DoB: August 13th Gender: Male Grade: Nine Sexuality: Bisexual, leaning more towards homosexuality
Hair: To put it simply, he has blond hair. Ears: Valentin has black cat ears (and tail), and the 'mismatching' ears and hair do not run in the family. Thus, he is kind of ashamed of them. Eye Color: He has eyes 'as blue as the ocean'. Skin Tone: He is quite pale, and even the slightest flush shows like Rudolph's nose on his face. Height: A short boy, he only stands at five feet and an inch. Weight: He's also quite thin, weighing in at ninety-one pounds.
Description: For a German, you would probably think of a large, well-built man with slicked back blond hair and blue eyes with a look of 'kill' on his face. Well, you have the blond hair and blue eyes part right. Valentin looks more like a little lost kitten than the 'Doberman' look somewhat described above. A small boy, he only stands at five feet and a single inch, and he only weights in at ninety-one pounds. His blond hair is usually kept up in a small pony tail in the back, unless under certain... circumstances, and his bangs are spiked in the front. His face is round and pale, and some would think that he was actually a girl at first glance. The only other color on his face, excluding any red from blushing, are the blue from his eyes. Two black cat ears rest on top of his head, and an equally black tail can be found farther down. The 'mismatching' ears/tail and hair are something Valentin is ashamed of due to his father, so try not to bring them up. He will wear just about anything you give him, so don't be surprised if he comes to school in a dress. It's happened a couple times before, mainly because his mother keeps sending them to him...

Personality: Valentin is your average adorable Sacrifice, much to his father's dismay. He's cute, he's cuddly, and he is one hell of a cook. Request it, and he will make it, whether he needs a cooking book or not. What he is best at are pancakes and brownies. You have not tasted true heaven until you have eaten his pancakes and/or brownies. Anyway, Valentin is a shy boy, always one to try and shrink into a wall in order to stay hidden. He doesn't like conflict, and just speaking with someone might end up in a stuttering mess of... Stuttering... Even if he is shy, however, he is quick to trust and open up to another. He's pretty much an open book no matter what, actually. His emotions are easy to read, even while he is trying to hide them. His usual shyness can easily change to that of determination if someone he values is in trouble or if he is given a task, no matter how small. Like his mother, he can often seem carefree, lounging about... Sleeping... Valentin is quick to run and hide, though, so it is probably a good thing he is a Sacrifice. Otherwise, he would be the worst Fighter in the world...
History: Valentin Frei was born to a strict father and a rather carefree mother in Berlin, Germany. How the two ever grew to like each other was beyond him. His father was one for keeping the 'blond hair, ears, and tail and blue eyes' gene flowing, so that was probably one of the reason why he found his mother. Of course, when Valentin was born... Let's just say his father wasn't pleased in the least. Blond hair--check. Blue eyes--check. Blond ears and tail? Blank. No, he was born with black ears and a black tail, something his father was furious about. His father blamed his mother, saying that she had an affair, thus causing the 'filthy' creature to be born. It took her a few months to calm him down enough to tell him about her grandmother having black ears and a black tail.
Even with that explanation, his father's outrage never truly lightened. Valentin could soon walk, and he was growing like your average toddler. His mother stayed home with him while his father distanced himself for work. He never actually got to see is father for more than a split second until he turned five. During that time and, well, anytime, really, his mother would dress him up. Tuxes, dresses, suits, skirts--he's worn them all. His mother even dressed him up as 'Snow White' one Halloween, and he was the laughing stock of the neighborhood. He never minded, though. It made his mother happy, so he was happy.
When his father started showing himself more and more, he would always just glare at him. Valentin didn't know why until he heard his parents arguing late one night. Father was saying something about blond hair and black ears being a 'disgrace' to the Frei family name, and her mother was countering with "Then I'm a disgrace as well!" They ended on that note. The next day, tensions were high in the Frei household.
A few years passed, and the tensions soon led to his parents getting a divorce. His father didn't even struggle to 'keep' him, allowing his mother to pack his bags and leave. They were dirt poor then, living in a small apartment around where the Berlin Wall use to be. His mother was struggling to do odd jobs and take care of him. He would help as much as he could, but he only got a few dollars or coins from walking dogs and 'washing' cars. By the time he was ten, his mother and himself were forced to move back into his father's house. If the tensions from before weren't worse enough, then who knows how to describe the tensions now. They ate in silence, his father quickly downing his food before stalking off to get ready for work. His mother didn't have to work odd jobs anymore, but she still did, claiming to be saving up enough money to move out--and take Valentin with him--whenever she had enough.
When he turned twelve, his mother had saved enough money from odd jobs and a part-time job to move out of the house and take him to America. Ah, America... The 'promise land'. If they left his father, you might be wondering why he still holds his last name. Well, his mother just wanted to make his father mad, so they kept it. In America, they once more lived in an apartment. One bed room, a small kitchen, and a small bathroom. That was all it really had. They were dirt poor, living off Raman and water for most of the time. He was at least able to enroll in school, and he even applied for free lunches. Guess what? He was able to get those free lunches. Valentin was the highest ranking student in his middle school, having an A average. When he turned thirteen, a scholarship came in the mail to a school--no, Academy--he had never heard of. His mother was ecstatic that he had gotten into some random academy with a scholarship. It was much easier than paying for everything, and his mother would never be able to pay for it. However, since he wanted to finish his last year of middle school there, he waiting. His mother, however, had different plans. Half way through the school year, his mother packed his bags and shipped him off to the academy, saying that it would do him good. He complained about her well-being, but she insisted that she would be fine. Now, he's fourteen. The end.

What a beautiful sight... Emerald eyes gazed out at the Serelian land with wonder. The sun shining down on the towns and mountains made everything seem to sparkle in the sunlight. The Wheatmoor fields looked absolutely stunning, and even the swamp farther off looked decent. The blond sighed, her hand gripping the window sill. She wanted to go outside so badly and run around in the autumn colored leaves; however, her asthma kept her from doing so. The princess let out a soft sigh, turning to face the maid who always seemed to be cleaning her room. Even the smallest speck of dust could trigger a reaction. She had her inhaler in the room, so there really wasn't a need for such worry.
Esmeralda turned to the large queen sized bed covered in silk blankets and billows. There, curled up comfortably on the pillow, was her wonderful little ice dragon. A smile curled the corners of her lips upward. Kneeling down beside the bed, she reached a small, pale hand out and carefully ran her thin fingers over the snow white scales. At the touch, Blanche awoke, lifting her head up, moving the fingers with it, and let out a long yawn. The girl giggled, scratching under the dragon's chin. "I apologize for disturbing your rest." If the dragon were a cat, she would have purred.
Speaking of cats... A meow brought her attention away from her pet. Kalik? Now, what was that cat doing in here? Using the bed for support, the girl stood up and slipped around the bed, kneeling once more a foot away from the Toyger. Another smile formed on her face. "Why, hello there, Kalik." She reached her hand out, scratching the tiger-like cat behind the ears. "What did my dear brother send you to do today?"
