The small boy was clinging to his Fighter, head resting on the taller guy's head as Skylar carried Avery to where Astrid had her moped parked in the student parking lot. "Thanks for going with me, Skylar." Tawny ears were perked up, and Avery was surely attentive, green eyes staring happily out over the parking lot, tail swaying behind him.
A few puddles marked the crevices and filled the small holes that were sparsely dotted the parking lot, but it seemed clean. It smelled nice; like early morning on summer days, the fine mist sprinkling the ground, sun rising but just barely, and just that pleasant, calming scent clinging to the air, the one that faded by the time normal people awoke.
Tail wagged at this idea, and Avery tipped his head slightly, his cheek now leaning against the top of Skylar's head. "Do you see the moped? It's in the back, over there." One arm moved lazily from where it rested around the fighter's neck to point out the spot, only to be returned moments later. Someone was surely rather calm at the moment.

Here we are again,
Skylar suprisingly wasn't minding the clingy Sacrifice all that much at the moment, instead giving a nonchalant gaze to the sky. If one were to look really, really hard at said Fighter's tail, you might even see it wag. Slightly. Or, maybe it was just one's imagination at play.
Legs shifted, and red gaze dragged from the blue sky to the green grass, sweeping back to the parking lot. "Mm," Was his response, ivory doggie loving the slight breeze that carried the scent of rain, the lush green grass, and the pools of liquids that gathered along the pavement from recent downpours.
Upon catching the chatter flying from his Sacrifice, he slightly squeezed Ave's calves, before drifting his gaze in search of it Oh, there it was. "So, uh," Sky sighed, "She here yet?"
I feel the chemicals kickin' in.

> Late.
> Astrid couldn't believe her luck. She'd planned on getting up early to meet with Avery and Skylar for the coffee date, except...
> ...she'd met him. Gage. Yesterday, after class, in the parking lot. She felt giddy, she felt alive... and she'd slept like a rock that night because of it. And now I've overslept! Ugh! She ran back and forth in her room, getting dressed, brushing her hair (which the dye had run out of.. not that she had time to redye it!), rolling a single joint to get her through the day and lighting it as she left the dorms behind, not caring if she'd get caught or not.
> It was half speed-smoked by the time she'd reached the parking lot, keys still in her hands instead of in her pocket, BOTDF hoodie unzippered and slightly off one of her shoulders, her tail ruffled and unbrushed, hair as natural as the rest of her fur now; light brown with black streaks through it naturally, like her markings on her tail.
> She scaled the fence surrounding the parking lot with ease, as she'd done some many times before, then darted towards where she'd parked her moped, praying they hadn't gotten tired of waiting.
> There they were. Avery she recognized right away, settled on the back of a silver-haired boy. That must've been Skylar. Oh hey, he looked like a dog! Neat!
> She took one last long drag off of the joint and dropped it, reaching into her bag as she sped towards them and spritzing herself with some home-made vanilla perfume (very faint scent, strong enough to cover the smell of the joint but made from natural ingredients and hypoallergenic, since she herself was allergic to most scents).
> Then she'd reached hearing distance and she waved, sticking the perfume back in her bag and grinning that Cheshire grin of hers. "Hey guys! Sorry I took so long. Overslept." She greeted cheerfully, despite her winded voice.
> "Thanks for coming." She smiled, finally stopping near them and nodding towards Skylar. "Name's Astrid. You must be Skylar. Avery's told me only good things about you." Another smile, this time almost sly. "Ready to have the most expensive coffee you've ever tasted?" And there it was again, Cheshire grin of a rich girl.

"Not yet, she'll be here soon." Voice was confident. Avery highly doubted that Astrid would ditch him; she seemed far too nice for such a thing after all, so the boy waited, happily.
A sound came from behind them, and the boy's body twisted slightly in order to see her. One arm would be kept around Skylar's neck in order to help keep balance, but the other would be used to return the wave, "Hey Astrid!"
He'd just sit there grinning happily that his two favorite people as of yet were able to meet each other, "And it's fine!" Tail was wagging happily behind the kid, and his ear flicked slightly to the side, as though it couldn't be left out of all of the movement that his body was making; wagging tail, waving arm, torso twisted behind him...
"Of course I've only told you good things! He's a great Fighter." Cheek would rub slightly against Skylar's head, an affectionate movement of sorts, if not a tad bit awkward. Too bad the boy didn't quite see it that way. Nope, not at all.
"Don't tell him you're giving me coffee!" Avery whined slightly, so innocently. In all of reality, he acted more like a domestic pet than anything else, never quite growing up as of yet. Poor kid had been just a bit too pampered.
With a lack of self control, and already being pretty hyper, it seemed like coffee would be a bad combination with Avery. Oh well, it didn't seem to bother him too much.

Here we are again,
A murmur was given in response to Avery. He had grown completely used to this, Avery hanging all over him was just another average part of the day.
Canid ears swiveled at the sound of a feminine voice, and he turned around. Letting out a grunt as the arm hund around his neck, slightly choking, but it wasn't bad. Avery was so excited, Skylar could feel it. Literally. The kid was practically shaking with happiness for all the albino knew, and his Sacrifice's tail was certainly supporting that theory.
The new girl introduced herself as Astrid. "Hey there. I'm Skylar, but you know that already." Had he been any normal person, he probably would have flashed a grim or something similar. But the boy was, in all forms, entirely nonchalant to the world. That should never be mistaken for uncaring, though. No, he did care, he really did, but being rased so strictly left some mental binds on the boy's sense of humor.
He gave an irritated huff at Avery upon hearing his comment. Flattening his German Shepherd-like ears, he glared at the Sacrifice glued to his shoulders. Returning a blank gaze to Astrid he grimaced. "You do know how this kid responds to sugar, right?" He shook his head, the faintest of smiles on his lips. "God help us."
I feel the chemicals kickin' in.

> Astrid was used to the quiet, controlled type. Growing up in New York in the condo district meant you met a lot of seclusive people, including herself one year, after her first dog had died.
> Whatever the dog's reason was for being quiet and flat, she accepted it without concern or confusion. Avery yelped for her not to mention coffee around his fighter, to which the albino man quickly confirmed with. In response, she laughed.
> "My dear man, that's what Decaf is made for. Where we're going, there'll be plenty of everything to choose from. I'm sure we'll find something decaf but tasty for your little cling-on to have." She all but purred, tail curling behind her to graze against her back, her finger waving in the air matter-of-factly.
> Then she glanced down at her Baby. "Hm. Somehow, I underestimated just how much room three people might take up." She murmured, mind buzzing to find a solution to her sudden problem; there was absolutely no way her baby would carry three people. Nu-uh. Not happening.
> "I don't suppose you have a car, Skylar?"

"Sorry!" The boy hadn't meant to nearly strangle Skylar, but, it had happened. He felt the need to apologize because of it. He purposefully killing the Fighter. Now that just wouldn't do. Arm would move once again around Skylar's neck, and he shifted slightly in order to stop accidentally choking the Fighter.
"But...I like caffeine." Well, that's just too bad Avery, now isn't it? It was safer for everyone if you didn't get too much more hyper than you already were. "...As long as it's good." He wouldn't complain about nice tasting coffee, even if it was decaf.
Avery's head turned slightly to glance at the moped, "So we're not all gonna fit?" He asked, ears plopping down against his head, a tad bit upset. How else were they gonna get there? Did Skylar have a car? He didn't think so, though it was a possibility.

Here we are again,
Uninteresting lad hooked his arms under Ave's thighs again, readjusting his positioning and hold. Tail was still low, at ease, and ears followed suit. He seemed dignified, yet mellow, this Zero, but that was never quite the case. Inside him, his brain was plotting and conniving at times, making his a dangerous predator. But like Avery, who would suspect such an inconspicous, lonely soul?
He made a face that might be the equivalent to Skylar-amusement. Sky also made a sort a.. chuffing, heavy breathing sound, questionable if it was laughter or not. It wasn't.
It was such a talent to keep such a straight face, and he rolled 'is eyes at Avery once again. "You and sugar. Poor combo, kiddo."
Ears perked at the sound of Astrid's voice, and he nodded. "I do have a car, actually. I really shouldn't be driving you guys, but hey. What the hell."
He reached around in his pocket for a minute. fishing through ten lighters of various colors until he produced a set of car keys. Upon pressing the lock button, the headlights on his new, shiny, black lamborghini flashed twice before fading. It was a wonder the kid got so many nice things; or where he even got them. Truth was, he was gifted a lot, and sometimes... Well, sometimes, his victims who were defeated in combat lost their nice things. This car was the exception. He gambled for it.
I feel the chemicals kickin' in.

> She looked at Avery as if the boy had grown a second head for a moment, then switched between him and her baby. Finally, she flatly stated "No." and turned to Skylar as he confirmed having a car.
> Astrid's only reaction to Skylar's 'car' was a long whistle. "Niiice. I haven't driven in a Lamby since my mom's client gave us a drive in one. They're sexy cars." She smirked, approaching the pretty baby and hovering her hand over the hood, never touching as she walked around to peek inside. Carnomnom.
> "I have a Camero at home. Cost me a pretty penny to bring her home." She all but purred. Then, suspiciously, she eyed the albino, ears flicking back. "I didn't take you for the rich type. We tend to have an air of... wealth to us. Just how the hell could you afford this?"
> She eyed him a moment longer, then shrugged. "Y'know what? Nevermind. I don't wanna know." She went back to admiring his beautiful, beautiful wheels. "Lucky for you, they have high end parking. You won't have to worry about any dings or scratches, else they pay for the repairs." Ah, fancy places like that were nice indeed. "Shall we go?"

"But it taste's good." Even Avery accepted that he shouldn't be having sugar. It was a sure sign of guilt, and a defense. I don't care if it's bad for everyone else, it's nice to me.
A bit of a whine left Avery's mouth at the lack of room on the moped, and Astrid confirming that they wouldn't all fit only for it to be silence at Skylar mentioning he had one. "Since when did you have a car?" It wasn't just a car either, it was a mighty fine car. The kid might have found something he liked almost as much as Skylar. Skylar's car. Man, what was it with everyone having nice cars but him? Oh, that's right, Avery shouldn't drive.
Avery wasn't entirely sure where the car had come from, but he didn't mind it. Whelp, he had a nice place to chill now, didn't he? Just leave the windows open enough for him to open the car later. Skylar hopefully wouldn't notice. Hopefully.

Here we are again,
Shaking his head with a ghost of a smile, he watched as his two companions thoroughly examined his car. Skylar really hit a homerun with this car, eh? The lamby was beautiful, black, sleek, and not to mention fast. License plate read 'AMBASSADOR', after his login on the chat boards did.
"Thanks. Camero? Awesome. Yellow and black?" Head turned to Avery, who was still perched on his back. Letting the kid down, he replied. "Since last month. I, uh, found it." He coughed to cover himself. How was he supposed to explain that he illegally gambled for a car? It wasn't like the kid would care, probably, but...
"Mm. I'm not that rich, but I do have a large amount of money given to my under Nagisa's funds for Zeros, 'cause I'm a custom Fighter, build by her own hands." Somebody was spolied, eh? He paused, and made a 'heh' sound. "Astrid, you want shotgun? Avery will probably, idunno, booger up the windows or something."
He mentally snickered at his own joke. Skylar wasn't kidding completely, though. He wasn't sure what exactly the kid wanted with his car yet.
I feel the chemicals kickin' in.

> She grinned at Skylar's assumption of her Cam's color, shaking her head. "Nah. I thought about going for the Bumblebee look, but I went with slate chrome instead. Nice and dark, but still sleek and not seen every day." She tucked her hands into her pockets and grinned cheekily. "Better for sneaking out. No one can noticed a tinted dark car like they can a bright yellow sports."
> She hummed at his talk about Zeros and-- what? She did a double take for a moment. "Wait, what?" Her eyes flashed over form casual to sacrifice, confusion showing for a second. "'Built by her own hands'? I didn't think Zeros were made artificially." She paused, then her eyes cleared into what could've been understanding.
> "Huh. You learn something new every day." She walked over to the passenger side door, glancing at Avery.
> "Do you mind if I take him up on that, Pup? I kind of want to do some car talk with this baby's keeper. I wouldn't want to be leaning into your personal space the whole ride, plus I'm the only one who knows directions." A kind smile, one that she hoped would distract Avery from the fact he'd probably end up ignored for a majority of the car ride.

Avery stayed quiet for the most part during this. He truthfully didn't know that much about cars, and as a result, found it best to just stay out of the conversation for now. Sure, he could tell them out, and new nice from shitty, but that didn't qualify as a solid knowledge, nor enough to truly comment on anything with. That'd just be irritating. No one wanted to listen to the amateurs, ever.
"Our genetic codes are played with. It's why Zeros can't feel pain, and have trouble feeling temperatures. For a while, Zeros all also had the name 'Zero', but that bug was recently figured out." There, now Zeros were something he could talk about. Avery knew his stuff when it came to Zeros, seeing as his legal guardians worked on the creation of Zeros, which was most likely the only reason they were even allowed to raise him.
The kid was set down, and ears pinned against his head in minor irritation, "I wouldn't mess up the car!" Someone had a lack of faith in him, if it weren't apparent. "And I don't mind, Astrid." Voice was slightly agitated, but not too much. The aggravation would quickly fade, after all, it was Skylar who had said such a thing, and Avery had a definite soft-spot, for his Fighter.

Here we are again,
"Well alright then," Words sounded cool, collected. Unlocking the car, he ushered Avery off his back and to the back door. Opening the nice, shiny black doors, he seated himself comfortably onto the nice seats, breathing in that wonderful new car smell.
It was obvious enough to say Sky cared for his car, it looking similar to a model; nice and clean, the windows fingerprintless. It was exactly that that would make people uncomfortable about touching the car; getting it's beauty dulled. Honestly, Skylar wouldn't mind if it got a little dirty, so long as it could easily be cleaned with a swipe of his car cleaning wipes, etc.
Once seated and comfortable, he put the key in the ignition, and would wait for everyone to seat themselves. Once that was set, he asked, "Where to, Astrid?"
I feel the chemicals kickin' in.
