Eventide walked through the halls at a slow pace, her nose in a book. She had just come from the library and picked up some books to red. As was evident by her over loaded tote bag. She didn't quite understand why the librarian was so freaked out when she came up to the check out counter with 20 books.
'Weird...' She thought but shrugged it off continuing to read as she walked. This book was particularly interesting to Eventide. It was a princess story, Which Eve usually tried to avoid. But this one had caught her interest. The book was titled " The princess of Hell." As far as she'd read was just setting up the setting. Which was gruesome and dark. This intrigued her, she wasn't paying attention to where she was going. Which explained why she bumped into a smaller boy with ears. Sending them both to the ground with an "oof!"

The kid was moving through the halls at a rather slow speed, wearing his usual apparel. A light blue hoodie clung to his form, making him look skinnier and even more feminine than he would have looked otherwise, a t-shirt under his hoodie, and a pair of jeans. The favored white and black striped scarf had been left in his locker; teachers didn't seem to like it in class. Oh well, their loss.
Bright, emerald green eyes were lively and active, scanning the hallways intently for any sign of his Fighter. He wouldn't mind running into him and having a conversation...Or just clinging happily until his Fighter forcibly removed him. In Avery's mind, they were the same thing really; the obsessive fool with his puppy-dog-like mentality.
Being so caught up in his searches, and disregarding anyone who wasn't Skylar as 'not-worth-his-while', the kid didn't notice the taller girl about to walk into him until after such a thing occurred. His ears pinned themselves against his head, and a bit of an offended look marked his face. Why would someone run him down? It took a few minutes to realize that it may have been an accident.
"Hey, are you okay?" He'd ask, standing back up and holding his arm out to the girl to help her up, feeling slightly bad. For all he knew, it might have been his fault for not paying attention, not her's, "Sorry about that, I wasn't paying attention." An easy-going, apologetic smile took the place of the irritated frown, and he'd hope she wouldn't yell or something. The child-like boy didn't know if he could handle such a thing.

It took Eventide a little notice the other was talking to her. She rubbed her butt a bit and looked up at him with a blank look. It took awhile for her to realize it was a boy and not a girl as she had first thought. She glanced from his hand to his face a couple times before turning away from it. Getting up on her knees to collect the book that had fallen from her bag in the bump.
She kept her head down and silent as she collected the books. Hating any interaction with anyone during the day, Especially men. Finally she stood towering above the boy she looked down at him and mumbled "Sorry."

Ears moved back against his head, and the kid couldn't help but feel upset and guilty. Had he really offended her that badly? "I-I'm sorry, I really am. I should have been paying attention. I didn't mean too." The kid spoke fast, nervously. Some didn't take well to being hated or disliked. "I'm really, really sorry."
It took him a moment to notice that the girl didn't have ears, and though she seemed older, it still startled him a bit. Why didn't she get fake ones for school at least? It didn't make sense to him. Oh well, it wasn't his place to comment on such a thing.
Seeing that the girl had spilled her tote bag of books during the impact, he went to grab one that had moved slightly behind him, 'Y-you missed a book." Arm extended slightly, and he held it out for her. The child-like teenager didn't quite want to accept not being liked by the other, and instead, just aimed to please.
It's all my fault. I should have been paying attention! Such a negative thought for a normally so hyper, energetic, and upbeat child.

Evee didn't understand why the kid was taking this so hard. 'Why does he keep apologizing?' She thought. If anything the spill was her fault. She noticed to boy was holding out to her she took it from his hand lightly. "thank you" she mumbled and nodded at him in thanks. Placing the book back in her tote bag.

A pathetic expression was kept on his face. She didn't like him, did she? The idea was rather upsetting. "You're...you're not mad, right?" He definitely needed to express this fear, and have it rejected, though in his mind, it seemed unlikely at this point, judging by the blank look and the dismissive personality.
Avery wasn't use to such a thing coming from anyone but Skylar, and he could drag smiles and frowns from his Fighter, besides, his Skylar had to deal with him for life. There was no fear there, but this girl, she didn't have any connections to him. Instead, she could be enraged to no end, and nothing Avery could say or do could fix it, no matter how much he wanted to. He just wanted everyone to enjoy his presence, or at the very least, tolerate him.
