 It didn't end well for Voldemort that night of Halloween 1981. After hearing the prophesy about "the chosen one", he ventured to the Longbottom's house, killing both of Neville's parents, before turning on the boy. The curse rebounded because of a protection his parents placed upon him. Hagrid came by and took the little boy from the rubble of the house, a new finely carved scar was visible upon the boy's small baby forehead, a lightning shaped scar.
Neville Longbottom was raised by his squib of an aunt and wizard uncle, because his grandmother was tortured by Bellatrix to insanity. His aunt and uncle kept his abilities a secret. Neville went to school at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry when he was 11 years old, and made several friends.
Now it is Neville's 5th year at Hogwarts. All last year everyone seemed to think Neville as a liar of Voldemort's return, even after the death of one of his fellow Hogwarts classmates, Marietta Edgecomb. He still has his two friends, the golden trio: him, Luna, and Ginny. This is the year's not gonna get any easier, being called a liar, but the worst is yet to come... |
