OOC -----
- Be Respectful - No one wants to roleplay with rude people. That's not to say that you have to love everyone, but merely attempt to get along.
- One Character Per Account - This is to help staff organize things easier. Please give your accounts the same name as your character.
- Activity Checks Are Required to Be Posted In - Once every other month these will be put up, and you will be required to post in them with your active characters. If you do not, they will be deleted.
- Be Active on All Characters - Not only does this mean posting regularly, but this also means that we would ask you to log into all of your accounts daily. Heartless appreciates not looking dead and crowded by corpse accounts.
- Use Appropriate Language - We do allow and understand swearing, but that doesn't mean you need to flood us with cuss words. Swearing does not make us big kids, so use it sparingly OOCly. Along with this, please at least try to use proper spelling and grammar.
- No Impersonation - In the C-Box, you may not claim to be another player, or staff member.
- Punishments are Judged on a Case by Case basis - This means that depending on the severity of the crime, you will be punished accordingly.
- Follow the Proboards ToS - We could get kicked off if you don't. Don't just agree to it, read it so you know what you're agreeing to.
IC -----
- One Hundred Word Minimum - We'd prefer you go above this, though this is the bare minimum amount of words per post we will accept. If you slip a few times on an off day, that's fine, though if you go below this minimum too often, you will be alerted.
- Liquid Time Allowed - This means that you may be in more than one thread at a time. Even so, don't overload yourself. The staff of Heartless will limit the amount of posts each character is allowed to be in at one time if our members cannot.
- No Auto-Hitting - Due to the fact that Heartless is highly combat based, we cannot allow auto-hitting to occur. This means that a player cannot assume that their attack hit another players' character. Instead, you must reword it as an attempt.
- We Go by the Three-Dodge Rule - Due to the fact that people tend to abuse the 'No Auto-Hitting' rule, this has been put in place. It merely means that you can have no more than three dodges in a row. After three dodges, a the next hit must be taken, no matter how severe it may be. After taking a hit, the three dodges reset.
- No God-Modding - No one is perfect or invincible, and your characters do not always win.
- This is a Consent-Required Roleplay - This merely means that in order to kill or terribly, irreversibly maim someone else's character, you must first get their permission.
- It is Not Required For You to Follow School Rules - Teenagers rebel. We understand this. The rules are only there to show what is to be expected of the students. Of course, if a student is caught misbehaving, they may be assigned a detention or suspension.
- Use Common Sense - Do I even need to explain this one?
